Nakai Tablature Fingering Charts and Useful Scales
These materials were created to aid persons in reading music written for the
Native American Flute in "Nakai Tablature", to make persons aware of the full
range of notes possible on the instrument and to provide various scales that
can help the player perform more creatively.
There are 17 versions of these charts and scales.
The Generic version provides
information appropriate for any 5-hole or 6-hole minor pentatonic Native American
flute, regardless of the key in which the flute is built.
The other 16 versions provide not only this information but provides
above each "fingering guide" the name of the actual note sounding
when played on a particular keyed flute, i.e., a C flute, G flute,
F# flute, etc.
Simply choose the versions best for you.
